Terms of use
These terms explain how to use Wiler’s professional network, including profiles, connections, conversations and paid plans. Please read them before creating an account.
1. Purpose
Wiler is a professional network available at wiler.pro and in the Wiler mobile apps (iOS and Android) (the “Service”). It lets you browse profile cards, show your interest, and talk to the people with whom you have both expressed interest.
The Service is published by MetaStrat SASU (see the legal notice). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms (the “Terms”).
2. Account
- The Service is intended for adults acting in a professional capacity. The Service is reserved for people aged 18 or over; by creating an account you declare that you meet this condition.
- You provide a valid e-mail address and accurate information about yourself. One account per person.
- You accept these Terms when you sign up: creating an account is conditional on this acceptance, and the version you accepted is recorded. When the Terms change, the app asks you to accept them again before you continue; without this new acceptance, you can no longer use the Service.
- You keep your credentials safe and tell us without delay if your account is used without your permission. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- An account can be linked to an organization, following the rules described in the app (a request, then approval by an officer of the organization).
3. How the Service works
- Profile cards. The Service shows you profiles, one card at a time. You answer “Interested”, “Later” or “Pass”. The profiles you see are chosen based on your interests, your professional intentions and compatibility criteria; there is no guarantee that a given profile will be shown to you.
- Match before message. A conversation only opens once you have both expressed interest (a “match”). No message can be sent before that. A match does not expire: you can write whenever you like, and we remind you from time to time while nobody has written.
- Progressive disclosure. Before a match, people only see your profile card. Your full name, e-mail address, phone number, LinkedIn link and precise location are only shared after a match. Whether your employer is shown before a match depends on a setting in your preferences, which you can change at any time. You can also hide your profile from specific organizations.
- Quotas and plans. Some features may be limited by quotas (for example the number of profiles you can view) or reserved for paid plans. The applicable limits are shown in the app.
- Other features. Depending on the version, the Service also includes posts in the network feed, temporary stories, a vacation mode and notifications.
4. Rules of conduct
You agree to use the Service in good faith and not to:
- impersonate a person or organization, or provide false information on your profile;
- harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other users, or send them spam or solicitations unrelated to the purpose of the Service;
- publish unlawful content, or content that infringes a third party’s rights (copyright, privacy, image);
- collect the Service’s data by automated means (scraping, harvesting profiles), bypass its protections, or disrupt its operation;
- use the Service for purposes unrelated to professional networking, in particular bulk prospecting or unsolicited canvassing.
Prohibited content in free-text fields
The free-text fields of the service (in particular, but not only, the profile’s personal introduction — the “bio” — and any equivalent free-text field introduced later) must not contain any content of a:
- political nature: opinion about, affiliation with or support for a political party, candidacy or movement;
- religious nature: religious belief, practice, membership or proselytism;
- trade-union nature: membership, mandate or activity in a trade union;
- personal health nature: health condition, disability, illness, medical treatment, pregnancy, or any other health information about you or a third party.
These categories correspond to the “special categories of personal data” within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR. The service is not meant to collect or display this kind of information, even when you provide it yourself in a free-text field. Any such content may be reported by another user and may lead to a moderation action ranging, depending on severity and repetition, from a warning to permanent deletion of the account.
5. Your content
You keep the rights to the content you publish (photo, text, messages, stories). You confirm that you have the rights needed to publish it.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable and sublicensable licence to:
- host, store, reproduce and display your content as part of running the Service, according to the Service’s visibility rules;
- adapt it technically (resizing, compression, delivery formats) without altering its meaning;
- use it to promote Wiler (screenshots, social networks, press kit, marketing materials);
- pass it on to partner third parties (media, Wiler partners) who may themselves reuse it to promote Wiler, respecting your display name as it appears in the Service.
This licence covers the content you make visible in the Service (photo, introduction, posts, stories). It does not cover data that is only visible after a match or kept private: your messages, e-mail, phone number, LinkedIn link, your employer while you have not revealed it, or your professional intentions. Such data is neither used for promotion nor passed on to partners.
The licence ends for any content you delete, except for copies already passed to a third party under the above before deletion, and except where the law requires retention. You may at any time ask that your content not be passed to a partner by writing to support@wiler.pro.
6. User-generated content, reporting, blocking and moderation
Zero tolerance. Wiler does not accept any unlawful, offensive, hateful, harassing, deceptive or abusive content, or any behaviour of that kind. This rule applies to all the content you publish or send in the Service: profiles (name, photo, introduction, intentions), feed posts, stories, needs and offers (service-provider searches, job openings, service offers) and conversations (and the messages they contain). It is in addition to the rules of conduct in article 4.
- Reporting content. Every piece of content (profile, post, story, need or offer, conversation) has a “⋮” menu that lets you report it by choosing a reason (harassment, spam, sensitive content, unlawful content, other) and, if you wish, adding details. You cannot report yourself.
- Immediate hiding. As soon as you report a content item, it disappears from your view immediately. Reporting a profile also hides everything related to that profile, for you only. This hiding applies to you while the report is reviewed; on its own it does not penalize the author.
- Blocking a user. You can block a person at any time. Blocking makes you invisible to each other in the suggested profiles and turns the conversation read-only.
- Review of reports. Reports are reviewed by human moderators, who endeavour to review and act on them as soon as possible and, as a rule, within two (2) business days after receipt, without this period being a contractual commitment.
- Measures. If a report is well founded, we remove the content concerned and may suspend the author’s account or permanently ban it. A banned account can no longer sign in, and the corresponding e-mail address can no longer be used to create a new account on the Wiler service. Depending on severity and repetition, moderation may also warn the author; such a prior warning is possible but not mandatory: we may remove content and suspend or ban an account without warning.
- Contesting a measure. Except in urgent cases or where the law requires otherwise, we tell you the reason for a measure taken against you. You can contest it by writing to support@wiler.pro.
- Abuse and moderation contact. To report abuse that the Service does not let you report directly, or for any question about moderation: support@wiler.pro.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
- Part of the Service is free. Some features belong to paid plans (subscription, lifetime plan, credits for organizations, packs). The plans, prices and durations that apply are those shown when you subscribe.
- Payment on the web: payment is handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never have access to your card number.
- In-app purchase: payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google depending on your app store, and are subject to their terms. A subscription bought through an app store is cancelled from that store’s settings, not from Wiler.
- Buying a lifetime plan does not cancel a monthly subscription bought through an app store: remember to cancel it with that store.
- Subscriptions bought on the web renew automatically each period. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, with no pro-rata refund.
Right of withdrawal and immediate performance
If you are a consumer, you have in principle 14 days from subscription to exercise your right of withdrawal.
Paid features are however opened as soon as you pay. To subscribe on the web, you must therefore tick, before paying, the box by which you expressly request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Without this request, subscribing is not possible.
For any question on this point: support@wiler.pro.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app or the website (the “Delete my account” page in your profile). Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, intentions, interests, conversations (on both sides), matches, organization exclusions, memberships and sign-in credentials are deleted. Only the credit ledger of an organization and anonymous usage counters remain, detached from you. See the privacy policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through an app store.
9. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the Service available, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability (maintenance, incidents, force majeure). We are not a party to exchanges between users, we do not guarantee the accuracy of information published by users, and we cannot be held liable for what follows a match.
Limitation of liability
Wiler acts solely as an intermediary facilitating professional connections between users.
MetaStrat does not guarantee that any business relationship will be formed, that any professional opportunity will be obtained, or the outcome of exchanges between users.
Each user remains responsible for the information they share, for their interactions and for the commitments they make to other users.
To the extent permitted by law, MetaStrat cannot be held liable for damages arising from relationships or transactions entered into directly between users, or for interruptions of the Service caused by events beyond its control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Intellectual property
The Wiler brand, logo, app, website and their elements (design, texts, code) belong to MetaStrat SASU or its licensors. No right is transferred to you beyond the personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with the Terms.
11. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may change the Terms, for example to reflect a change to the Service or the law. The date of the last update, which identifies the version in force (2026-10-26), is shown at the top of the page. For material changes we give at least 30 days’ notice, by e-mail and in the app. After a new version takes effect, you must accept it again in the app to keep using the Service; otherwise you can delete your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
The Terms are governed by French law. Subject to mandatory rules protecting consumers, the courts of Montpellier have jurisdiction. In accordance with the French Consumer Code, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge: CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France — cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php — litiges@cm2c.net — +33 1 89 47 00 14.
