Privacy policy

Version of 2026-09-30

Wiler connects you with other professionals. This page explains, in plain language, what we do with your data.

[À COMPLÉTER : legal review of the legal bases, retention periods and list of processors before any public promotion]

1. Who is responsible for your data

MetaStrat SASU is the data controller (see the legal notice). For any question about your data: support@wiler.pro. This address also receives your requests to exercise your rights (access, erasure…).

2. The data we collect

Some of this data is sensitive in terms of professional risk, in particular your intentions (for example being open to an opportunity) and the list of organizations you hide from. It never leaves the Service outside the compatibility rules provided for, is never written to our logs or sent to measurement tools, and is truly deleted with your account.

3. What stays hidden before a match

Before a match, another person only sees your profile card. Your full name, e-mail, phone number, LinkedIn link and precise location are shared only after a match. Whether your employer is shown before a match depends on a setting in your preferences: you decide whether to show it. You can exclude organizations from your audience.

Public profile page. When you create your account, a limited public profile page is enabled by default (it is only served once your e-mail is verified): it is accessible without signing in and may be indexed by search engines. It only shows your first name and the initial of your last name (when your name is entered separately), your job title, your city, your profile photo and the background photos of the “identity” and “right now” views of your card (not blurred); the rest of your profile (introduction, needs, offers, posts, interests…) does not appear and is replaced by empty placeholder blocks identical for everyone. Never your e-mail, phone number, LinkedIn link, employer, precise location or intentions. A signed-in member only sees your full profile if Wiler has already suggested it to them. You can turn it off at any time in Settings > Public profile page; the page then stops being served immediately, and search engines remove it at their own pace. Accounts created before this rule are not affected unless their owner turned the page on themselves.

Many of these actions are available directly in the app (editing your profile, notification preferences, account deletion). For anything else, write to support@wiler.pro. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and local storage

The website does not use advertising cookies or third-party audience-measurement trackers. It stores in your browser what it needs to work: your sign-in session, your display preferences and a technical cache for offline use.

10. Security

Communication with the Service is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed and sensitive data follows strict access rules. No system is infallible: if an incident affects your data, we will tell you as required by law.
